SAIC Volkswagen is recalling some new 2016 Passat vehicles

　　A few days ago, SAIC Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products", and decided to recall from June 9, 2017, from August 25, 2016 to November 4, 2016. Some brand-new Passat cars were produced, and the number was 146.

　　For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to the production and manufacturing reasons of the supplier, the electromechanical unit in the gearbox may have electronic failure, resulting in the interruption of the vehicle’s power output and potential safety hazards. When the above situation occurs, the vehicle’s steering, braking and other functions are not affected. SAIC Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the gearbox electromechanical unit for the vehicles involved in the recall free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.
