National Health Commission reported on the 3rd that as of June 2, 2021, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 704.826 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine. At the same time, on the 2 nd, the single-day inoculation amount reached a new high, reaching 22.918 million doses.

It takes only five days from 600 million doses to 700 million doses, which is the "China speed" of vaccination.

Internationally, the good news of China vaccine came one after another. On May 7th and June 1st, two COVID-19 vaccines, China Sinopharm and Kexing, were listed in the WHO emergency use list.

"If you are uneasy, the whole world is in danger." No country can be immune to the COVID-19 epidemic. While domestic vaccination is accelerating on a large scale, China has not forgotten its commitment to make the new crown vaccine a global public product.

At present, China has supplied more than 350 million doses of vaccines to the world, including providing vaccine assistance to more than 80 countries, exporting vaccines to more than 40 countries, and cooperating with many developing countries in production.

China joined COVAX (COVID-19 Vaccine Implementation Plan) led by WHO, and promised to provide the first batch of 10 million doses of vaccine to meet the urgent needs of developing countries. On June 1st, the first batch of COVAX vaccines supplied by Sinopharm China Bio-Supply Company was officially launched.

In China’s practice of taking the new crown vaccine as a global public product commitment, the COVID-19 vaccine developed by China is playing an increasingly important role. The college entrance examination and the Dragon Boat Festival holiday are approaching, and the situation of epidemic prevention and control in many places is still grim. Feng Zijian, a researcher at China CDC, suggested that we should continue to implement various prevention and control measures according to the requirements of normalized prevention and control, and always tighten the string of epidemic prevention and control, and we should not be careless.

Wang Huaqing, chief expert of immunization program of China CDC, said that besides maintaining the existing prevention and control measures, vaccination is the first choice at present.

According to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, combined with the reality of vaccine supply and the work arrangement of vaccination at this stage, China is carrying out vaccination for all kinds of people step by step in accordance with the principles of step promotion, highlighting key points, informed consent, voluntary and free vaccination.

Cui Gang, the second-level inspector of National Health Commission CDC, said that in order to ensure that the public can complete the whole vaccination on time and get better protection, the recent vaccination work was arranged as a whole according to the technical plan. From June 10 to June 30, the second dose of vaccination will be carried out mainly for the target population who have already received the first dose.

For people with special needs, such as going abroad, epidemic prevention and control, the first dose of vaccine can also be vaccinated. After July, the first and second doses of vaccination will continue to be promoted in an all-round and orderly manner.

"Vaccines are biological means, and wearing masks is a means of public health. The two are not exclusive." Wu Zunyou, chief expert of epidemiology at China CDC, reminded that wearing a mask should become a daily "standard" regardless of whether it is vaccinated or not.
