On September 13th, a few days ago, Extreme Yue 07 was officially listed with a price range of 199,900-289,900 yuan.

Forty-eight hours after the announcement of the listing, the new car record has been released: the order of Extreme Yue 07 exceeded 5,000 units, of which the 880km long battery life version accounted for 75%; ASD’s high-level intelligent driving option rate accounts for 76%.

According to official data, the Extreme Yue brand was jointly built by Geely Holding Group and Baidu. The first model, Extreme Yue 01, was released in August last year and officially listed in October. The listing guidance price is 249,900 yuan-339,900 yuan.

The data shows that from January to May, 2024, the sales volume of Extreme Yue cars was 218, 147, 511, 362 and 1001 respectively. In June this year, the sales volume of Extreme Vietnam Automobile was 461. From January to August this year, the total sales volume of Extreme Vietnam 01 was 5,990 units.

It is not difficult to see that it is undoubtedly a long drought to break through 5,000 sets in the Great Leap Forward in 2007.

According to previous public information, at present, Extreme Yue 07 integrates the most advanced Baidu AI model/high-end intelligent driver, Geely’s vehicle architecture and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited’s leading battery. Xia Yiping, CEO of Extreme Vietnam, mentioned that by the end of 2024, ASD can be used where Baidu map navigation can reach, and it can be opened all over the country.

It is worth noting that, as far as the AI Smart Driver, which is extremely proud of 07, is concerned, compared with the same popular model, it is slightly behind in the timetable that can be opened all over the country.

Earlier, Xia Yiping, CEO of Extreme Vietnam Automobile, also collapsed and cried when talking about the low sales volume in an interview. He said that we have made many mistakes and we have been looking for our own way. At present, it has also changed its style of play, that is, "embracing the Internet", focusing on video content, and actively creating the use of personal IP to attract brand popularity. In other words, it can be said that it is "crossing the river by feeling Lei Jun".

As for the effect, I have to say that even though the sales volume of Extreme Vietnam has increased for two consecutive months, this achievement does not seem to be so good.

In the first half of electrification and the second half of intellectualization, Extreme Yue 07 showed its top strength in the industry at least on paper. On the basis of high cost performance and intelligent driving experience, it is still a big question mark whether the hard-won sales data of 5,000 units can last for a long time.

Undeniably, the new car of Extremely Yue is far from reaching the height when other car companies put it on sale. At the moment when the competition is so fierce, there is not much time left for Extremely Yue.
